UPDATE: Fast & Furious: CBS News investigative journalist Sharyl Attkisson details how the WH screamed and the DOJ yelled at her for daring to do her job

Update: It is being reported by Mark Hemingway of the Weekly Standard that CBS News appears to be “silencing” investigative journalist Sharyl Attkisson. Read the story below the video.

The first three minutes provides an update on documents recently released showing AG Eric Holder knew about Fast & Furious as early as July 2010, yet he told Congress in May 2011 he’d only “learned about it over the last few weeks”. Why does it feel like we’ve all been here before? Uh, that’s right, it’s because we have…countless times. Following the three minute update, Ms. Attkisson details her investigation and when she learned about this obvious contradiction in Holder’s testimony, she phoned the public affairs dept at the DOJ to get a statement for the record about this “oh, I misunderstood the question” and got yelled at. She then attempted to get a statement from the WH and got screamed at. Sounds a bit like Romper Room to me…

Is CBS News Silencing Fast and Furious Reporter?

by Mark Hemingway

“Yesterday, CBS News investigative reporter Sharyl Attkisson told radio show host Laura Ingraham that the White House yelled and swore at her over her reporting on the Fast and Furious gunrunning scandal tied to the deaths of two U.S. law enforcement agents. Attkisson also revealed that she’d also been yelled at by the Justice Department.”

“Today, I called CBS News in an attempt to interview Attkisson. I was told by CBS News senior vice president of communications Sonya McNair that Attkisson would be unavailable for interviews all week. When I asked why Attkisson would be unavailable, McNair would not say.”

“I’ve also heard from a producer at another media outlet that has previously booked Attkisson that they tried to book her since she made news with the Laura Ingraham interview yesterday. They were also told that she would be unavailable.”

This is James Corbett of corbettreport.com with your Sunday Update for this 27th day of February, 2011. And now for the real news.

In a series of breaking stories this month, more information is coming out exposing the true nature of the false flag attacks in Oklahoma City in 1995, in New York and Washington in 2001, and in London in 2005.

Earlier this month, the UK’s Guardian newspaper revealed that Mohammed Junaid Babar, the American-raised Muslim who set up training camps in north-west Pakistan where he taught bomb making to supposed 7/7 bombing mastermind Mohammed Sidique Khan, was in fact an American informant who was cooperating with American authorities even before he was arrested in 2004.

According to court documents obtained by The Guardian, the court, respresented by District Judge Victor Marrero, ruled that Babar “began cooperating even before his arrest and worked with the FBI and foreign governments” to investigate the London bombings. He was then sentenced to time served and 10 years probation meaning that the man who helped plot the deadliest terror attack in the UK, an attack that killed 52 people and injured hundreds of others, was let off with a slap on the wrists.

Reaction has been swift, with British MPs from across the political spectrum criticizing the decision as a travesty of justice. As bereaved 7/7 family members struggled to understand what happened, experts pointed out that the logical conclusion is that the supposed trainer of the London underground bombing was in fact working for American intelligence.

Graham Foulke, father of David Foulke, one of the 52 people to die in the London bombings, gave his view on the story to the Guardian newspaper.

In related news, new bombshell evidence has emerged that the FBI received a phone call warning them the day before the explosion at the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City.

Jesse Trentadue, the Salt Lake City lawyer who has been working on the case since 1995 to discover the killer of his brother, obtained documents from the FBI under the Freedom of Information Act showing how Michael Selby, an attorney who claimed to be working “off the books” in representing the federal government, attempted to make a deal with convicted OKC co-conspirator Terry Nichols to admit to making a call on April 18, 1995, warning the FBI of the tapes. A separate affidavit filed in Utah US District court by Nichols confirms the meeting with Selby, stating that Nichols had never heard of the call before and that he had not placed the call.

Jesse Trentadue appeared on the Bill Deagle Nutrimedical Report earlier this week to discuss the new revelations and their significance.

Finally this week, We Are Change has just released footage of their questions to Donald Rumsfeld at this years CPAC conference in Washington, D.C. where they asked the former Secretary of Defense about the $2.3 trillion dollars that he admitted to being lost from the Pentagon’s coffers on September 10, 2001.

What is surprising is not that Rumsfeld attempted to dismiss the question by claiming that the money had always been there, a startling claim that would launch full-scale investigative reports in a free country with an independent press, but that it took 10 years for a group of volunteer citizen journalists to finally pose this question to Rumsfeld and receive any type of official explanation for the greatest accounting “blunder” in the history of the world.

Rumsfeld’s answer is unlikely given Cynthia McKinney’s famous 2006 assertion that the total missing funds had actually increased to $3.5 trillion at that time, and that Rumsfeld made no such attempt at that time to explain that the money was there, but somehow invisible to the Pentagon budget analysts whose offices were blown up in the Pentagon on September 11, 2001.

Equally incredible is the fact that Rumsfeld, appearing on the radio show of conservative talk show host Mancow Muller earlier this week, was questioned about the controlled demolition of World Trade Center Building 7 on the afternoon of September 11, 2001, and that he claimed not to know what the building even was.

That the former Secretary of Defense did not know about the destruction of a 47-story office tower, one of the largest buildings in New York, on the day of the worst attack on American soil in recent history, did not make international headlines is newsworthy in and of itself, but if Mr. Rumsfeld was sincere in his ignorance of what happened on 9/11, he is encouraged to begin his research by visiting the website of BuildingWhat.org along with the tens of millions of other Americans who know nothing about the controlled demolition of Building 7.

"The message from civil society is clear – If you're a torturer, be careful in your travel plans."

Reuters reported on Saturday, February 5, 2011 that former President George W. Bush, Jr. canceled his scheduled visit to Switzerland where he was going to be paid rather handsomely to serve as keynote speaker at a gala. Normally this kind of story wouldn’t capture that much attention, however there is way more to this cancellation than meets the eye.

According to former CIA Analyst, Ray McGovern, the reason for the cancellation was due to criminal complaints filed in Geneva based on two torture victims accounts detailing in 2,500 pages their personal accounts of torture at the hands of the US Government. [Read more…]

Stuxnet: A Violation of US Computer Security Law – c/p with permission from Wayne Madsen Reports

January 18-19, 2011 — Stuxnet: a violation of US computer security law, by Wayne Madsen

If a January 15 report in The New York Times, which has a dubious past in reporting on computer security and hacking issues, is true — that the United States Department of Homeland Security, Department of Energy — via the Idaho National Laboratory — Siemens (which has a long-standing intelligence relationship with the National Security Agency), the CIA, Britain’s intelligence services, Germany, and Israel’s Mossad cooperated to develop the Stuxnet computer worm to disable Iranian nuclear program centrifuges, the U.S. government violated a number of federal computer security laws that prohibit the development of malicious computer programs that damage ″federal interest″ computers. The Stuxnet worm, which, according to the Times, was tested at Israel’s Dimona nuclear weapons development facility in the Negev, not only infected Iranian nuclear program computers but spread to computers in other countries, including the United States. Stuxnet code was discovered through computer forensics to contain key words from the Jewish Old Testament Book of Esther, further establishing Israeli fingerprints on the malicious code. The malicious code’s file name, Myrtus, is the Hebrew word for Esther. According to myth, Esther saved the Jews from a Persian plot to exterminate them.

The New York Times article by William Broad, John Markoff, and David Sanger, three reporters who have their own questionable ties to Israeli interests, states that when Stuxnet first appeared around the world in June last year, it did little harm and did not slow computer networks. However, this is merely an attempt to let the U.S. and Israeli governments off the hook by falsely claiming that the only damage done by Stuxnet was to the centrifuge systems used by Iran to enrich uranium. Although Stuxnet likely did disable Iran’s centrifuges, causing a set-back to its nuclear program, the Stuxnet worm, contrary to The New York Times report, resulted in computer down time and disruption far beyond Iran. The disruption by a digital version of a U.S. and Israeli military first strike makes the United States government and Israel civilly liable for the damage and disruption caused by Stuxnet. ASKING ALL AMERICANS – Are YOU Really Okay with this?

Public Ed(1)

Dear Democrats, Republicans, Independents, Constitutionalists and Greenies:

This is an open letter especially written to you.

On 9/11 I was readying to go to work when I saw the first plane slam into the WTC on the morning news. I was breathless, stunned, angry and sad all at the same time. I watched in horror when the second plane attacked and a rush of anxiety and fear shimmered through my entire body. The horror of watching it all changed my life and your’s forever. [Read more…]
