You may think this is a story important only to the voters of Virginia, but think again. This is a heads up to the voters who are paying attention and who are working to make sure their local, state and federal primary elections remain fair amongst all candidates vying for nomination to run in the general.
Here in Virginia, we learned this week that the Virginia Capitol Correspondents Association and Virginia’s Associated Press Managing Editors met to establish what they are calling a primary debate “criteria” that is applicable to all US Senate primary candidates before being invited to participate in their televised sponsored debate. Their modus operandi is obvious, they are purposely establishing an artificial “criteria” which heavily favors the establishments two- party frontrunners, thereby weeding out any and all other contenders. Long, long, long ago, I cheered the nomination of the former Speaker Pelosi and looked forward to her leadership of the D’s. After six years of lies spewed by mouths of the Republican leadership, I desperately believed she and the D’s could turn DC back into a government one could be proud of. For the record, this documentary has been available, on line, for nearly two years now. Some have asked why is it re surfacing now; especially since ALL MAJOR MAINSTREAM MEDIA OUTLETS ignored it and wouldn’t go near it. The answer, politics.
Just a hunch but, the R’s and Indy’s are polling and have learned, I’m confident, that Obama and his administration, if that’s what you want to call it, will be the target for campaign messaging. All campaigns send out or plant seeds during the slow summer months to galvanize their base. This documentary will galvanize Rs, D’s and especially Indy’s b/c many of us middle of the road or conservative D’s have left the Party.
