Harassment by The YouTube Team — An open message to Sergey Brin
In March, Anthony Lawson uploaded a video to his YouTube account about the Holocaust & Germany, which was censored by the YouTube Team. Mr. Lawson has produced a number of videos over the years meticulously substantiating any and all facts he presents. This is not a professional who spews falsehoods for pleasure. Rather, he is a serious professional instructor of world history.
Note, the YouTube Team has been censoring more YT account holders over a variety of subject matters including the weather. It seems YT is using censorship using copyright law as the basis and with greater frequency.
Here is what Mr. Lawson has to say to the YT team and CEO, Sergey Brin –
“YouTube may be acting illegally by taking down videos for alleged copyright infringement, without first determining important factors regarding Fair Use as provided for in copyright law.”
“In August 2008, U.S. District Judge Jeremy Fogel of San Jose, California ruled that copyright holders cannot order a deletion of an online file without determining whether that posting reflected “fair use” of the copyrighted material. ”
