Corporate Media Establishing 'Artificial Criteria' to Keep Primary Contenders Out of Debates

You may think this is a story important only to the voters of Virginia, but think again. This is a heads up to the voters who are paying attention and who are working to make sure their local, state and federal primary elections remain fair amongst all candidates vying for nomination to run in the general.

Here in Virginia, we learned this week that the Virginia Capitol Correspondents Association and Virginia’s Associated Press Managing Editors met to establish what they are calling a primary debate “criteria” that is applicable to all US Senate primary candidates before being invited to participate in their televised sponsored debate. Their modus operandi is obvious, they are purposely establishing an artificial “criteria” which heavily favors the establishments two- party frontrunners, thereby weeding out any and all other contenders. From OXFAM – “In Uganda, more than 20,000 people were evicted, some forcibly, from their homes and the land they depended on, to make way for the New Forest Company’s plantations. Oxfam went to Uganda to hear how villagers have been left destitute, without enough food or money to send their children to school. Many villagers believe that the company was involved in the evictions. Oxfam is calling for the New Forests Company, which denies that it was involved in any evictions, to investigate these claims.”

For days now I’ve been watching videos and reading stories about 911 with the intent to write a blockbuster article about the events of that most traumatic day, or about the loss of our liberties, or about the thousands of young lives lost due to the wars we’ve engaged in since, or about the utter failure of the 911 Commission tasked to truly investigate what really happened, BUT I can’t seem to get beyond my own lack of faith in the American public. Every time I’ve thought up an angle to a storyline, my mind seems to wander to the thought “people won’t get it” so what’s the point. So I think well maybe they’ll get this or want to read about that, but they don’t.

No. For some queer reason American’s seem perfectly content having their realities constructed for them, rather than opening their own glorious minds and building their own beliefs.

From where I sit it seems the majority of the American public is perfectly okay with how this single act drastically altered and continues to reverberate through American life, and the entire world stage for the worse; certainly not for the better. From where I sit the majority of the American public fails to see that by giving their intellectual power away to an inanimate entity serves zero purpose when getting to the bottom of what “factually” happened on that fateful day. Lastly, the majority of the American public, from what I can gauge, appears content being fed what to think by a media establishment who long ago abandoned anything remotely close to journalistic integrity…hell, they even admit it yet the listeners and readers keep going back for more.
