While corporate media had you focus on a clown wearing an Obama mask at a rodeo earlier this week, there was a real news story unfolding in Malheur County Oregon out at the Big Loop Rodeo.
Steve Hindi of Showing Animals Respect and Kindness (SHARK) was illegally pulled over back in May by Oregon’s Malheur County Sheriff Deputies. He had just left the counties Big Loop Rodeo after being kicked out for filming it. Here’s his take on what happened next –
Plenty of people had cameras at the rodeo, but those who didn’t take pleasure in the animal abuse were kicked out. Another SHARK camera person had been violently arrested a day earlier, by the same officer in this video, Deputy Brian Belnap.
When Hindi left the Rodeo he turned on his camera to video record Sheriff’s deputies tailing him. He pulled over and they passed him by so he pulls back out onto the road. While driving he see’s the same Sheriff’s tail waiting alongside the road just ahead. Hindi passes the vehicle and within minutes pulls over again only to have the Sheriff deputies pull in behind him. He caught the entire illegal pull on camera –
But there is more. Hindi, knowing the illegal stop was being filmed by the dashcam on the Sheriff’s cruiser, made a Freedom of Information request to the Malheur County Sheriff’s Department to secure the recording of the illegal stop.
You are not going to believe what these deputies said before, during and after this illegal stop –
