Al Jazeera’s “Witness” program asks “Was the appropriation of Palestinian books and manuscripts in 1948 a case of cultural theft or preservation?”

Knowing Iraqi’s and Egyptian’s reported similar thefts from their museums and libraries during their supposed liberation, one is left wondering if this is the war profiteers way of stealing countries historical and cultural treasures and identities for their own greed or their own purposeful destruction of a cultures entire identity.
